Our current practice space is a 700 square food loft room above the retreat facility. The space holds 15 yoga students or 20-25 seated guests comfortably. Windows on all sides allow for natural light throughout the day.
Coming soon! : Our dedicated practice space will be a 900 square foot yoga and meditation hall with expansive views of the neighboring hills and valleys below. The room will hold up to 20 students on yoga mats and 25-30 people in chairs or meditation cushions. The space will be fully stocked with yoga and meditation props for groups of up to 20.
The main house at serves as the common gathering space for our community. The house is located at the highest point on the land, with expansive views to the east and south towards the valley and neighboring hills. Large wrap around decks provide plenty of space for outdoor gathering. A large formal living room and informal family room provide comfortable setting for up to 12 guests. The formal dining room can seat 12 people, with the adjacent breakfast table seating an additional 6 people. The large kitchen has ample space for food preparation.
The main house has a master bedroom with a private bathroom suite on the ground level. There is an additional half bath located on the ground floor off the kitchen. The second floor has three additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. The second floor bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, and are large enough to accommodate additional guests on a cot.
The retreat building is a remodeled six car garage located adjacent to the main house. The ground floor of the retreat building has five single rooms furnished with a twin bed, armoire and desk. The rooms are large enough to accommodate a cot for additional guests. A common area on the first floor includes a refrigerator, microwave and comfortable seating for six. There is a full bathroom (shower/toilet) located on the first floor of the retreat building. The second floor of the retreat building will eventually be a dormitory furnished with 6-8 cots. Foldable room dividers are available for creating additional privacy.
The land consists of 30 acres of mostly oak and grass covered rolling hills. A few trails are maintained on the land for hiking. Common wildlife includes deer, turkey, and hawks. Less common, but present, are mountain lions, black bears, wild pigs, and snakes. Paths throughout the property between building are well maintained and well lit for safety.
Guests are served three organic meals daily prepared mindfully with love by Daveed and Jamuna, owners of The Loving Cauldron. Menu can be customized to accommodate most food allergies and dietary preferences. All meals are vegetarian.
Our long term goal is a sustainable farm to table operation, sourcing all food for staff and guests from our own land.
Phase 1 of this project will involve chickens for eggs, goats for milk and cheese, and a medium size vegetable and herb garden.
To the extent we are not able initially to source all the food from our land we intend to source food from nearby local organic farmers.
