Join Koren for this 3 day, 2 night wellness retreat in Zazen's private, nature-filled haven in Ukiah, CA. As we transition from the warmth of the summer and into the cooler season of autumn, we end one cycle in preparation for another to begin. Through various cultures, the symbolism of fall may closely associate with the elements of letting go, abundance, and rebirth. As we notice the natural transitions of leaves falling, landscape colors and temperatures changing, we too can shed any unwanted baggage in order to transform and re-align with our personal center and power.
This retreat will provide a grounding reset in order to recharge our energy rather than deplete it. Part of that reset sometimes requires a pause from our frequent social interactions, so this will also be a semi-silent retreat. Morning meals and meditations will be led in silence to enable the practitioner to re-connect more closely to their inner source and peace.
The weekend will include daily meditation, mindful flow, restorative asana, in addition to Dharma talks, and intention-setting practices. Afternoon scheduling will be flexible, allowing students with adequate time for rest, contemplation, and recreational activity. The center is closely neighbored to the refreshing Orr Hot Springs and the beautiful Montgomery State Redwood Forest as well. There will be a sound bath on one of the evenings, encouraging students to shift their consciousness towards a more meditative presence, and facilitate deeper dream states.
This retreat is ideal for anyone needing a separation from the demands of daily busy living, and for those who are seeking nourishing self-care. Students can expect to find rejuvenation through the retreat center's picturesque land, and by a thoughtfully curated and easeful schedule. The combination of mindful rituals, an experience designed to awaken your senses, and the healing energy of these practices, will surely instill a new sense of fullness and transformation.
